Women's and Gender Studies
Gender, like race and class, is a social construct that impacts all aspects of society. Principia Gender Studies majors explore the interplay between gender and culture; the roles women have played in the sciences, arts, politics, religion; and how those roles have evolved over time. You’ll study the obstacles affecting women’s lives and the impact of gender roles on men and women in the workplace and society at large. As culture and history shape and inform gender roles and experiences, our program is multidisciplinary in nature.
